There’s a theory about why Love Island USA feels SO weird this year, and it makes sense
Gone are the days when people went in for actual love
Love Island USA feels off this year, and people are now leaning into a theory about why. Every scene feels overly produced to a lot of people watching compared to previous seasons, but there’s one key factor that could be playing into why it feels weird.
People think Love Island USA feels weird this year
There’s a strong feeling going around that Love Island USA just doesn’t feel right this year. One Reddit user said: “I feel like this season is so weird and different from previous seasons. People are moving weird, actions don’t make sense, couples aren’t compatible.”
She added, “Conversations have almost no depth to them, nothing adds up. Producers have to be cutting a lot of important things out but even then, I don’t understand anything that’s happening. Everything just feels so off.”
There’s lots of agreeing opinions that it all feels too forced, even the fact that Ace and Chelley knew each other before entering the villa. And the fact there’s only been one male bombshell so far is another thing raising quite a few eyebrows.
Another person said: “I think the chemistry between the cast is off, everyone is really concerned about cameras/how they are being produced, etc. but also the pace is different. By episode 8 last season, we already had Liv, Connor, Hakeem, Andrea, and Nicole.”
The big theory points to the influencer-led cast
Basically, a lot of the Love Island USA cast are known influencers and models who already have huge brand deals on socials. So basically, this has led to a theory that most of them aren’t in there for love, but are rather trying to grow their personal brands.
While Ace Greene is already a TikTok star with one million followers, the likes of Jeremiah have worked with companies like Adidas, which is just one example of their career prospects – and this is only set to increase as they spend more time in the villa!
