Kylie Jenner’s best friend and hairstylist tragically lost his life this year. Jesus Guerrero worked alongside Kylie for around a decade. The two were super close, and his death came as a shock in February 2025. Kylie took to social media at the time of Jesus’ passing to pay tribute to him. Now, his official cause of death has been revealed.

On February 22, Kylie Jenner’s best friend and hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero, sadly passed away at 34 years old.
At the time of his passing, Jesus’ younger sister, Gris Guerrero, created a GoFundMe and wrote of how her brother’s death was “sudden and unexpected.”
She wrote in an update: “With his death being so unexpected, there are many things that weren’t set up for a time like this.”
Gris also added how Kylie helped out the family following her brother’s death, writing: “Our family deeply appreciates Kylie for later offering to cover funeral expenses and offering up all her help and support.”
At the time, no details were released regarding Jesus’ cause of death.
Kylie wrote in a heartfelt tribute post: “Jesus was more than my friend – he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support. I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter.”
Jesus Guerrero’s cause of death was just revealed

On June 2, Jesus’ cause of death was revealed. He passed away from “natural causes.”
Per USA Today, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner announced that he died from severe pneumonia and contracted a fungal disease.
Jesus passed away from “Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia and disseminated Cryptococcus neoformans due to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.”
Severe pneumonia and the fungal disease are listed as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome listed as Jesus’ primary cause of death. The secondary cause of death was “acquired immunodeficiency syndrome,” per NBC.
“Mr Guerrero arrived at a local hospital on the afternoon of February 21 after complaints of not feeling well… A doctor pronounced him dead at 12:48 am,” the medical examiner reported.
NBC added: “Both are classified as Opportunistic Infections, meaning they are more common and more severe in people with weak immune systems.”
