Khloe Kardashian has revealed she was giving Tristan Thompson the silent treatment until a really sad moment. They didn’t speak, despite co-parenting their shared children, Tristan and True Thompson, and at one point, she almost didn’t let him meet his newborn daughter because a cheating scandal came out just before Khloe was due to give birth to their first child.
Khloe Kardashian didn’t speak to Tristan Thompson for ages
Khloe ended her relationship with Tristan after he cheated on her multiple times, the final time being impregnating someone while they were still together. Kim Kardashian found out the news while filming The Kardashians, which happened literally days before she was due to give birth to True, and was the end of Khloe’s relationship with her baby’s father.
She said on her Khloe In Wonderland podcast, “Because Tristan is more recent, I did not talk to him for a long time. The “liar” [quote on The Kardashians] was after Tristan, I was so angry, I did not handle it well, but I’ve been angry for both parties. Tristan, I was probably more angry on camera, with Lamar I had more alone time, but you just work through it.”
She said, “I know with every relationship, I’ve become more guarded publicly. With Tristan, I felt like I would never give statements, I’ve never been that person but that’s because I have a platform on a TV show. Moving forward, I wouldn’t date someone and have the cameras follow me, I would never do that. I’m not even sure how much I’d want them on the show, per se. We all deserve a little bit of privacy.”
She finally spoke to her ex at a really sad time
Khloe decided to speak to Tristan when his mother passed away. She wrote a touching tribute to her on Instagram, writing that Andrea Thompson was “the most amazing, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mom,” after she died of a sudden heart attack. Khloe later attended her funeral alongside her sister, Kim, and it wasn’t long until Khloe allowed him and his brother to move into her home.
He publicly thanked his baby mother for supporting him after his mother’s death at the time. Khloe has now recently said on her podcast, “Sadly, Tristan’s mom passed away but we weren’t talking until his mom did pass away. So it made me [think], ‘There’s bigger things happening.’ And I knew eventually I would move on because we have kids together.”
She added, “I think when you don’t have kids with someone, you can hang onto that anger more because you don’t have to talk to them, so it’s easier. But the only way to get through your feelings is you have to live them, I’m not going to be over it if I don’t want to be over it. I’m someone that likes to write for myself, that’s therapy for me. I’ll be the beast in the gym, I’ll box and envision I’m kicking their a**.”
