Here’s how much the Million Dollar Secret cast members make at their really random jobs
Um, one of them owns a $6M business
Million Dollar Secret is the new Netflix reality show where 12 cast members live together in a lakeside estate, and the winner gets a $1M prize. In each of their rooms is a welcome gift, but only one of them holds the prize money. That guest can keep the money if they can protect their identity as the prize holder, but what are the cast’s current jobs?!
Chris Allen

Job: Beverage brand CEO – $135K
Chris will present himself to the others as a struggling entrepreneur instead of a successful CEO who runs a business with a $6M valuation. He comes from an Ivy League university and said, “It takes a long time to build trust but only a second to lose it forever and never get it back. I want to gain a reputation in the house as a straightforward, trustworthy player and then cash in all of that trust for a late-game deception.”
Corey Niles

Job: Builder – $42K
Corey learned to become the man of the house at a really young age because he had a single mother and three younger siblings. “I wrote these words down in my journal as a reminder before entering the [Million Dollar Secret] house and will read them every night before bed: ‘Let them judge you, let them misunderstand you, let them gossip about you. Their opinions are not your problems,'” he said.
Harry Donenfeld

Job: Photographer – $40K
Harry has been a photographer for major billionaires, so it won’t be the first time he’s rubbed shoulders with wealth. He plans to “play a game of omission” without “being forced to lie outright”. While Harry’s unmatched people skills will help him develop trust with the other players, he said, “I’m good at putting people together and at ease, but that could make me an immediate target, too.”
Jaimi Alexander

Job: Life coach – $67K
Jaimi is the eldest daughter in her family and could potentially be a winner, as she’s a “phenomenal liar,” apparently. She said, “I’m going to try not to talk too much, which is not easy for me. I really just like people and connecting with them.” While Jaimi believes her biggest weakness is being “too nice,” she also said she “can put on a face and be an actor” on the Million Dollar Secret cast.
Kyle Wimberly

Job: Construction worker – $45K
With one of the lower-paying jobs on Million Dollar Secret, you may argue Kyle deserves to win the most. He’s also the youngest at 27 and plans to be fully honest about himself in hopes that his transparency will throw the other players off, and think he’s lying. However, he “will omit certain pieces of information”, something he learned as a naughty kid to avoid getting grounded by his mom.
Lauren Jean

Job: Stay-at-home mom
Although Lauren doesn’t earn a salary with her job, it’s safe to say her work is one of the hardest in the world. Umm, she does have a party trick though: She can name all 50 US states in under a minute! Lauren used to work as a school counsellor, which usually earn around $61K on average, while the mom-of-three wants to prove to her kids she “doesn’t have to betray her morals to be competitive.”
Lydia Blair

Job: Retired escrow agent – $63K
The average salary for an escrow agent in the US is $63K, which can go up to $92K for experienced workers. As Lydia is now retired, it’s believed she made the higher end of the salary. She’s been playing in professional poker tournaments for 30 years and has travelled the world, but won’t be letting the other Million Dollar Secret cast members know her secrets.
Phillip Roundtree

Job: College professor – $75K
Salaries for college professors are around $75K, so Phillip is doing pretty well for himself. He’s also had 15 years of experience working as a therapist, which ranges from around $60K to $90K a year. He said, “By being open about my life and showing my true personality, I know others will take everything at face value — even if I am being deceptive.”
Samantha Hubbard

Job: Police officer – $72K
Samantha is pretending to be a stay-at-home mom for the sake of the Million Dollar Secret game, but she’s actually a cop. “My biggest weakness is caring and letting my heart get involved,” she said. With certain types of people, however, Sam has no problem getting what she wants without getting emotional and added: “I’ve hung out with a lot of toads in Vegas just to sit at a table in a club and not spend a dime.”
Se Young Metzroth

Job: Systems VP – $183,493
One of the highest-earning cast members on Million Dollar Secret, Se has a career in video game research, as well as a major passion for board games. She’s been practicing her deception skills by lying to people around her about small things and said: “I am thrilled to be playing a game nobody has played before.” But basically, she’s going to try not to be annoying to stay in the mansion.
Sydnee Falkner

Job: Medical sales – $71K
She grew up in northern Alaska and has even worked in negative 80-degree weather as a maintenance tech in pure darkness. Sydnee plans to play up the “Scottsdale blonde persona” to catch others by surprise. “My greatest strength is my looks,” she said. “Everyone dismisses me based on my outward appearance. It’s happened my whole life and can serve its purpose when needed.”
