OMG, Bling Empire’s Lynn Ban airlifted to hospital with bleed on the brain after ski accident
It’s a season for celebration, but Bling Empire’s Lynn Ban isn’t able to get into the festive spirit this year as a skiing accident left her with serious injuries. The New York spin-off star had her “life changed” when she “face-planted” while skiing on Christmas Eve.
The designer rose to further fame on Netflix‘s Bling Empire New York alongside Nam Laks, Tina Leung, Dorothy Wang and co. She’s been away from the spotlight for some time. But, takes to Instagram to share the scary news of her ski accident that left her requiring brain surgery.
Lynn Ban endures serious ski accident
Taking to the ‘gram this December, Lynn shares how she feels lucky to see in the New Year.
The Bling Empire star explains how she was enjoying a holiday in Aspen before things to a terrifying turn.
She writes: “And In a blink of an eye … life can change. Christmas Eve on a beautiful sunny day in Aspen on vacation with my family, I had a ski accident that would change my life. At the top of the mountain, I caught a tip and face-planted…”
Lynn adds: “Luckily I always wear a helmet, It didn’t seem that bad at the time and I was able to ski to the bottom…”
One move saved Bling Empire star’s life
Although Lynn was initially cleared for concussion by ski patrol, she explains how she later “had a bit of a headache after lunch” and a paramedic suggested she go to the hospital for a CAT scan.
She writes: “This saved my life.”
The reality TV star says “within 30 minutes” she was told she had a brain bleed “and needed to be airlifted to the trauma hospital.”
Lynn adds: “Last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy with Jett by my side.”
Despite still having a long road to recovery, Lynn says she’s “grateful and blessed to see the New Year.”
She shares photos on IG of how her head had to be shaved for the surgery, and displays stitches and staples running across one half of her skull while in hospital.
