Expertise

I have a passion for activism and sharing stories that need to be heard, giving those who don’t have a voice, a voice! I’m keen to share news that’s hard hitting and sparks conversation.

  • I am the News Editor for The Sheffield Tab, currently studying journalism at the University of Sheffield. I have been working within Journalism since 2017 having worked with BBC, The Sheffield Star, Radio Four, Forge Press and was a past writer for The Tab.
  • One of my most important achievements was winning BBC Young Reporter of the Year in 2020. I won this for my coverage on a parent’s addiction and how it affects young people. I had an article published on the BBC website and worked with BBC Newsbeat and BBC Radio one…
  • I then went onto winning Queer Role Model of the Year at the 2021 Queer Students awards and now present the awards as well as working the red carpets at these events.

Experience

I was the Lifestyle Editor for Forge Press for a year where I worked alongside the editorial team to get papers ready for print as well as commissioning articles, writing articles and editing them. I have written for the Sheffield Star several times as well being a guest editor for them. Worked multiple times with BBC Radio Sheffield appearing on shows and working with the team to create shows.
