Er, guys, Rishi Sunak has a new job at the University of Oxford
He’s now officially a Distinguished Fellow
It looks like Rishi Sunak is keeping busy after we collectively got rid of him as Prime Minister. Rishi Sunak has got a new job at the University of Oxford.
He’s landed a role at the Uni of Oxford’s Blavatnick School of Government. This department of the university offers postgrad degrees in public policy, and runs online courses. Rishi Sunak has been given the title Distinguished Fellow. He’s also joined the Blavatnick School’s World Leaders Circle – which the website describes as “a global network” and “a forum to exchange ideas and foster international collaboration among leaders”.
The Blavatnick School confirmed to The Tab that this is an unpaid role.
This is not entirely random, because Rishi Sunak did actually go to the University of Oxford. He studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Lincoln College back in the day.
Rishi Sunak has also taken up a role at another super prestigious uni. He’s going to be a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution, a public policy research institution at Stanford University in California. Crikey, his family calendar is going to be very full. Rishi Sunak did a Master’s in business administration at Stanford Uni, and met his wife there.
He said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford and the Hoover Institution at Stanford. Both Blavatnik and Hoover do superb work on how we can rise to the economic and security challenges we face and seize the technological opportunities of our time.
