The best cocktail deals in Liverpool this October

Cheers! We’re going on a cocktail crawl

Liverpool has no shortage of bars, but finding ones with the best cocktail deals that don’t send you into your overdraft isn’t easy. So, we’ve scouted them out so you don’t have to. Thank us later x

If your usual Liverpool night out involves watching your bank balance disappear faster than your dignity, this might be one to make the most of. Liverpool is full of cocktail deals throughout the year, so make use of them and enjoy not having to ask for the cheapest pint on draft. We’ve all done it.

Liverpool Cocktail Week is back from 9-18th October, with more than 50 bars and restaurants across the city offering exclusive cocktails from just £5. What a steal!

The perfect excuse for a cocktail bar crawl

If you’re struggling to decide what to do with your flatmates this October, Liverpool Cocktail Week has essentially planned your night out for you.

You could start at one participating venue, grab one of its signature cocktails, then move on to another bar and do the same thing.

With more than 50 venues involved, you could even turn it into a full-on Liverpool cocktail crawl.  However, your bank account and your ability to walk in a straight line may eventually disagree.

It’s a great excuse to finally try somewhere you’ve walked past approximately 400 times but never actually gone inside.

It’s not just cocktails

Despite the name, Liverpool Cocktail Week isn’t exclusively about drinking cocktails. A wristband can also unlock exclusive food deals at participating restaurants, meaning you can actually make a proper evening out of it.

Because let’s be honest, spending an entire night drinking cocktails on an empty stomach is probably not the best student budgeting strategy.

The event also gives you a chance to check out some of Liverpool’s independent bars, restaurants and hospitality venues that you might not normally visit. So rather than going to the same three places you always end up at, you can use Cocktail Week as an excuse to explore somewhere new.

Additionally, the Hope & Anchor has incredible deals with food and drinks year-round, especially if you use the MiXR app.

Sphinx

If you’re going home for reading week, away for the weekend or simply can’t be bothered to organise your life around Cocktail Week, don’t worry.

Liverpool’s cocktail deals don’t disappear on 18 October.

There are plenty of bars around the city offering regular deals that are worth knowing about if you’re looking for a cheaper night out.

The Sphinx offers two cocktails for £11, making it a pretty easy option if you’re heading out with a mate and don’t fancy paying full price for every drink. And on a Saturday? £4 spritzs!

It’s the kind of deal that works particularly well for a casual midweek drink when you don’t necessarily want to commit to a full night out.

Hope & Anchor

As previously mentioned, Hope & Anchor is another one to keep in mind, with 2-for-1 cocktails available regularly.

Perfect if you and your flatmate have somehow convinced yourselves that going for “just one drink” is a sensible Tuesday night activity.

BoBo

Located on Castle Street, BoBos is renowned for being an incredible wine bar.

2 for £18 spritz? Yes please.

Be At One

Be At One Liverpool also has midweek MixTape deals, so it’s worth checking what’s on before heading into town.

It’s particularly useful if you’re looking for something to do during the week without paying weekend prices.

Liverpool Cocktail Week is a good excuse to get dressed up, try some new bars and pretend that £5 cocktails are somehow financially responsible. But it isn’t the only time of year you can find a decent cocktail deal in the city.

Between regular 2-for-1 offers, midweek promotions and student deals, there are plenty of ways to have a cocktail night without immediately regretting checking your bank account the next morning.

So whether you’re grabbing a wristband for Cocktail Week or just keeping a mental list of Liverpool’s best drinks deals, there’s really no excuse to keep going to the same overpriced bar every weekend.
