The confusing release dates for the next three episodes of American Horror Story season 13

American Horror Story season 13 dropped the first three episodes on premiere day, with episodes four, five, and six to be released in a second wave. Yes, we will have to wait weeks to see if Ryan Murphy has destroyed AHS’ legacy with fan service, a clunky timeline, and more plot holes than the final season of Stranger Things. 

In some corners of the internet, people argue that American Horror Story stopped being good 10 years ago. I wouldn’t go that far, but there is general apprehension about the final season. Though powerful cast members like Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates are back on board, the conclusion is a collection of all the other seasons. 

Still, like many people, I’m locked in – if only to see Sarah Paulson chain-smoke and Jessica Lange bellow “KNOTTY PINE” once again.

When are episodes four, five, and six of American Horror Story 13 coming out? 

Annoyingly, American Horror Story is releasing in different parts of the world at different times. In the US, the release schedule is as follows: 

• 24 September 2026: Episodes 1–3
• 1 October 2026: Episodes 4–6
• 8 October 2026: Episodes 7–8
• 15 October 2026: Episodes 9–10
• 22 October 2026: Episodes 11–12
• 29 October 2026: Episode 13

If the episodes were released everywhere at the same time, that would mean UK viewers would get them at around 02:00 am. However, Disney+ traditionally drops its episodes at around 08:00 am, meaning we get them a day later.

As for the content of those episodes, we can draw a few conclusions from spoilers. 

Episode four, titled Is That All There Is?, seems to continue with Jessica Lange and her many characters as the focal point. At this point, spoilers suggest that iconic villains will take the stage. 

In episode five, which is called Date Night, there is seemingly a greater focus on Sarah Paulson and her characters, with the “witch hunt” playing out in more detail. 

The sixth episode is the easiest to understand due to its title: The Return of Devil’s Night. In Hotel, Devil’s Night was the annual coming together of various serial killers. Critics claim this episode contains the biggest twist of the series, turning the show in a direction we won’t expect.
