Carla Jeffery’s twin brother reveals heartbreaking final text after sudden death of Disney star

Carla Jeffery’s death was announced on September 3, with her manager noting the Disney star’s “joy, humour, and bright spirit” on her Instagram page. 

“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old,” she said. “Carla joined the Alexanders Talent Management family at the age of 12. For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room.”

Most known for her role as Bree in Disney Channel’s ZOMBIES franchise, her manager added: “Your light will never be forgotten.”

Carla Jeffery’s brother spoke out after her death 

Carla Jeffery was a staple of Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, appearing in Curb Your Enthusiasm, iCarly, and Shake It Up over the course of her career. But to Carlon Jeffrey, she was his sister. 

In a gut-wrenching Instagram post, Carlon shared the final WhatsApp message he sent to Carla before her death. It showed how close they were, but also alluded to something else she might have been struggling with behind the scenes

In the message, he wrote: “Hey Sis, Call me back when you get this.. I was just calling to see how your day went! I love you to the moon & back sis. I just want you to know how proud I am of you. Your resilience, your grace, your infectious smile that lights up a room. You are truly a light that shines bright.

No cause of death has been made public at this time, but tributes from her co-stars and friends have already started to roll in. 

“Love you Carlaboo, the sweetest, kindest, most loving person,” Milo Manheim, who played Zed in ZOMBIES, wrote. 

Chandler Kinney added: “Carla. The sweetest, most sparkly gal. You made every day better and brighter with your infectious positivity.”
