Angelista reveals she flew out to go on Love Island last year, but here’s what happened

After finishing in third place on Love Island 2026 with Simba, Angelista has just dropped the major bombshell that she was actually supposed to go on the show last year. How are we only just finding this out?!

The finalist even flew out to Majorca and was all set to head into the villa alongside Shakira, Harry, Toni, Yasmin, Helena, Meg, Dejon and the rest of the 2025 cast.

Speaking on the Not My Bagg podcast with Simba this week, Angelista explained: “So, I was supposed to go on last year, and they said OG or early bombshell. And then I flew out with all the other OG’s. So, it would have been two weeks before the show started last year.”

However, she didn’t get put in as an OG or early bombshell as expected, and as the weeks went by, she felt more and more down. Eventually, the producers asked her to go into Casa Amor, and she refused and flew home. You know what, it’s actually iconic. She knew her worth!

“It didn’t end up working out. I had two chaperones, and I had a little moment to myself… sometimes I just get emotional. Do you know what I mean? I’m an emotional person. So I just cry,” Angelista continued. “So, I was just in my room [on] one of the days. I think it was like, the second week [in the holding villa]. Obviously, I wasn’t an OG. And then I had a little tearful moment to myself.
