Reality hits! One of the major Love Island 2026 cast members posts back at their day job

It’s back to reality, as one of the most prominent Love Island 2026 cast members has posted about going back to their day job. Despite very nearly making it to the final, they’ve clearly seen that opportunities from the show aren’t where they want to completely focus.

Before the villa and leaving with Yasmin, Tommy was a semi-pro footballer. He’s since posted that he’s back playing, and had a very important fixture this weekend.

“FA Cup day. First game of the season,” he said, alongside a photo from what appeared to be a previous match. “Buzzing to be back in front of the fans. See you all later. Up the town.”

Tommy is a footballer for Witham Town Football Club. On Saturday, the club played a preliminary round fixture against Colney Heath. They won 2-1, which made history for the team. It’s now 20 years since Witham Town last exited the cup before the preliminary round.

Tommy was not part of the starting 11, but photos from the game show him on the pitch, so he must’ve got subbed on at some point during the game.

The club seemed on side with him joining the Love Island 2026 villa, but no doubt they’ll be glad to see him back, too. “Our very own Tom Stagg has entered the Love Island villa,” they shared on socials when he was announced as an Islander.

A spokesperson for the club further said: “It’s great to see Tom taking part in Love Island, and I’m sure many of our supporters will be following his journey. We wish him all the best in the villa and look forward to welcoming him back to Witham Town later in the season.”

Straight after he left the villa, Tommy was spotted supporting his team, and was back attending games. He’s clearly now been back in training. He’s got the full season ahead of him now!
