WTF! MAFS Australia has been shoved to a ridiculous 12:35am UK time slot, and I’m not okay
It’s actually outrageous
The MAFS Aus 2026 schedule for the UK has changed again, and this time it’s actually terrible.
For the past couple of weeks, the MAFS Australia start times had finally been consistent, which is very rare for this show. It was a nice, simple Monday to Thursday slot at 7:30pm, usually running for about 60 to 70 minutes.
So, just when you thought, maybe, just maybe, this time it would stay the same, boom. It’s changed again. And not just slightly either, it’s been pushed to a time that genuinely feels illegal for a weekday.
And apparently, this is all because Made in Chelsea is being treated like the main character this year. A spokesperson for Channel 4 said the changes are part of a “bold new programming era”.
They added, “Made in Chelsea is delivering a level of cultural impact that simply can’t be ignored this year. We wanted to give it the space it deserves, even if that means asking MAFS viewers to be a bit more flexible.”
They then basically doubled down and said, “This year, Made in Chelsea isn’t just a show, it’s a lifestyle.” Right.
So, when is MAFS Australia 2026 on this week?

The early part of the week stays exactly the same, so you can still enjoy your normal, civilised 7:30pm viewing without questioning your life choices. But from Sunday onwards, good luck.
Here’s how the schedule is looking now:
- Sunday 5th April – 12:35pm – 01:40am
- Monday 6th April – 12:35pm – 01:30am
- Tuesday 7th April – 12:35pm – 2:05am
- Wednesday 8th April – 12:35pm – 01:45am
- Thursday 9th April – 12:35pm – 01:30am
Yes, there’s even an episode on a Sunday now. Also, the Tuesday episode is set to be the third dinner party. And if it’s anything like the last one, it’s going to be even bigger. So, it does make sense that it’s a longer episode. What doesn’t make sense, though, is that time slot. Hands down, this is the wildest schedule change we’ve had so far.
One insider told The Tab that the late slot is designed to create a “shared late-night experience for the most dedicated viewers”.
In Australia, the MAFS Australia finale is expected to air in early April 2026 on Channel 9, although an exact date hasn’t been confirmed yet. The show usually runs for around 10 weeks and ends with final vows, followed by a reunion where the cast come back and reveal who’s still together.
In the UK, the series is expected to finish around mid-May. But again, nothing has been officially confirmed just yet.
