What’s *really* going on with Jacqui and Clint from MAFS Australia, amidst break-up rumours

Er, you might have spotted TikToks and social media posts claiming the MAFS Australia 2025 couple Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice have broken up. Here’s a deep-dive into what’s really going on.

No, Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice from MAFS haven’t broken up

She posted an Instagram story debunking the claims. Jacqui wrote: “It’s not true – the media is broken – don’t believe a word ever.” She dismissed reports of their split as “fake news” and warned followers she believed it could be some kind of phishing scam. (Note: We don’t know if any links on posts about Clint and Jacqui actually led to sites trying to get people’s personal data.)

Clint’s Instagram account has also denied break-up rumours.

In response to  comment about the rumoured break-up, Clint wrote: “We clearly haven’t and never have. We were having dinner discussing wedding plans on holiday when we got sent it.”

This morning, Clint and Jacqui evidenced that they hadn’t split by posting a video of them frolicking about a beach together.

Neither Clint or Jacqui unfollowed each other on Instagram over the weekend, or took down any of the many, many pictures and videos of each other. I think they’re good x.

Jacqui felt concerned about how ‘fake news’ like this could impact their hypothetical future children

Jacqui told Yahoo: “I’m not surprised to see fake news — it happens all the time… They are ridiculous, but the concern for us would be when we have kids, they might be at school around their friends, and their friends might start spreading fake news based on what their parents have told them about us. That would be something we would be very protective about and take it very seriously.”

Yup, Jacqui and Clint are still planning their wedding

She’s lived in his mansion in Tasmania since about February 2025. They got engaged at a MAFS fan event in April – after approximately five months of dating. However, they don’t seem to be rushing to tie the knot.

Jacqui told Mamamia in September: “We haven’t set a date because we haven’t locked in a venue — we are too busy travelling, working and enjoying our engagement. We are keeping the specific details of our big day a surprise.”

Although, we do know that they have considered having one ceremony in Tasmania, and one in New Zealand. And that Morena will be the only MAFS Australia 2025 cast member on this list, so she can DJ. And what she plans for her wedding dress to be like. And that Clint and Jacqui aim to name their children Liveily Rice and Rio Rice. Yes, I spelled that correctly.
