‘Sour’ joke David Harbour made about ‘cheating on Lily Allen’ resurfaces after her new album
‘He made a trailer for his own cheating scandal’
A joke David Harbour once made about “cheating” has gone viral again, after former wife Lily Allen dropped her new album, West End Girl. The album is full of allegations about their marriage, including claims Harbour broke their open relationship rules, and had a secret affair with a woman Lily dubbed “Madeline”.
But as all of this is going on, people are digging up old clips and interviews about the former couple’s relationship. One was from when David Harbour invited Architectural Digest to tour the Brooklyn home he shared with Lily. The YouTube clip is from 2023, and in it, David made a joke that really hasn’t aged well.
As the camera crew opened the front door, he joked that the crew were like a former partner, and they shouldn’t come in now that he’s married. Oh dear.
“Oh god. What the hell are you doing here? I mean, last time I was single…I have a family now. You look good though,” he said in the video. He then winked and invited the crew in, as Lily watched on and laughed.

People have been quick to notice that now, this isn’t really in good taste. One said: “David’s welcoming intro-joke aged like sour milk!” A second added: “Harbour really made a trailer for his own cheating scandal during the first 20 seconds, her [Lily’s] body language doesn’t lie, she knew something. This intro didn’t age well.”

People in the comments also noted David later added “this house was designed for three women in my life” which has now “suddenly taken on a whole different meaning.” Others added they had always thought the “vibe was odd” in this video, and “now we know why.”
David Harbour is yet to respond to any of the allegations Lily Allen threw at him in the lyrics across West End Girl.
