Selena Gomez ended her relationship with Justin Bieber back in 2018. She recently got married to Benny Blanco in a private ceremony. Justin is also happily married to Hailey, and they have a one-year-old, Jack Blue.

Selena and Hailey are always pitted against each other, and anytime Justin Bieber posts something about his wife, people think he is shading Selena. But now, a source has revealed that Justin actually encourages Hailey to feud with his ex, Selena Gomez.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the source said Justin “trusts Hailey to say what she wants to say. And if she gets them into some drama, he’s going to ride or die with her, whether it is about Selena or not.”

The insider added that Justin’s support for Hailey stems from how he interprets her passion for defending him. And the reason why he “encourages” her to keep the feud going is because “he believes it shows that Hailey loves him – and he loves that.”

Hailey recently opened up about the constant comparisons between her and Selena, admitting that being “pitted against other people” has been frustrating. Speaking to WSJ. Magazine, she said, “It’s always annoying being pitted against other people. I didn’t ask for that. When people want to see you a certain way and they’ve made up a story about you in their minds, it’s not up to you to change that.”

However, sources close to Selena have told the Daily Mail that she has no interest in continuing the feud. She “wants to move on to another chapter in her life” and “would love nothing more than for all this drama to be behind her.”

The insider explained, “Selena’s main goal is now not to worry about Hailey and Justin ever again. They are never going to be friends. And it would be great if they don’t keep having to talk about each other.”
