Who the hell is Audrey Hobert? Meet Gracie Abrams’ best mate turned viral pop star
We blocked Gracie Abrams but we won’t block Audrey Hobert
Audrey Hobert is the internet it girl right now and you need to get to know her stat. Not that you’re going to get much choice, because she’s about to be everywhere even more so than she already is. Audrey Hobert has had one of the most fascinating journeys to becoming a pop star and it all led to her TV debut this week performing her lead single Sue Me on Jimmy Fallon. It instantly went viral, because Audrey Hobert is an utter breath of fresh air and her style of performing is unlike anything you see in the industry. As someone lovingly said, she performs like you in your bedroom pretending to be a pop star with a hairbrush at 2am – but in the best way possible. Here’s all you need to know about who Audrey Hobert is – her wild family, her Gracie Abrams friendship and why she’s going to be the next biggest thing.
Audrey Hobert comes from a famous family
Writing is in Audrey Hobert’s veins, and so is creativity. She is the daughter of a screenwriter who wrote for sitcoms Scrubs and The Middle – and you can see that funny vibe and wit translates to Audrey’s work too. She started out writing for Nickelodeon where she was a staff writer on The Really Loud House between 2022 and 2024.
Her brother Malcolm Todd is also a successful musician. She’s been close friends with Gracie Abrams since fifth grade.

She started getting recognition through Gracie Abrams success

Gracie Abrams and Audrey Hobert have been best friends since they were children, and they’re inseparable. But Audrey Hobert started to become more well known when Gracie Abrams became super famous over the past few years – with Audrey cowriting on the majority of Abrams’ breakthrough album. She would frequently perform some of the numbers with Gracie whilst she was on tour.
It was through her association with Abrams that Audrey got a record deal with Universal and began work on making music of her own. People might clown on Gracie Abrams’ music, but when you listen to Audrey’s aptly named debut album Who’s The Clown you can hear a lot of the charm and melodical impact Audrey’s writing has with Gracie’s work.
Although, I find Audrey’s music far more interesting and her a more compelling pop star by far. She is unlike anything you’ve seen before.
Her TV debut has gone instantly viral

The reaction to her TV debut on Fallon has been wild, but mostly because people are completely enamoured to her fresh and real approach to her pop stardom. She has the same charm as someone like PinkPantheress – just getting up there and doing it in jeans and a vest with a load of humour but also music that is completely well written and full of insanely catchy melody.
If you didn’t like The Life of a Showgirl, listen to Who’s The Clown by Audrey Hobert because not only will it show you exactly who she is as an artist, but it’s the Taylor Swift album of 2025 that Taylor Swift wishes she could make.
