Geordie Shore’s Scotty T, 37, ‘welcomes baby’ with Newcastle University student

Geordie Shore star Scotty T has become a father for the first time, after welcoming a baby boy with a Newcastle University student he reportedly met on a night out in the city.

A source close to the pair told The Sun that Scotty was present for the birth at a Newcastle hospital, adding that he’s “really proud” to be a dad.

The baby was born earlier this summer, and the two are said to be co-parenting, though they are not in a relationship.

The reality TV icon, 37, is one of the most recognisable faces to come out of Newcastle’s nightlife scene. Known for joining Geordie Shore for series 4 in 2012, he quickly became a fan favourite and a self-proclaimed “Turbo T,” cementing his status as a Geordie icon.

The unnamed student, who is in her early twenties, gave birth to their son earlier this year. Scotty was reportedly present at the birth, and the pair are understood to be co-parenting.

Scotty has long been a household name to Newcastle students, often regarded as a frequenter of the Bigg Market strip or in clubs around the city centre. For many freshers and final-years alike, bumping into him on a night out has practically become a Newcastle rite of passage.

Though best known for his Geordie Shore antics, Scotty has also won Celebrity Big Brother, toured the country signing books, and even hosted his own MTV show. But in Newcastle, he’s simply that bloke you might end up taking a selfie with outside a club at 2am.
