This preacher believes the world will end TODAY after Jesus told him this about the rapture

I’m officially scared of the rapture

Another doomsday prophecy has hit the internet, and this one is making some people quit their jobs in anticipation of the end. Pastor Joshua Mhlakela, a preacher from South Africa, has declared that the world will end today.

Speaking on the CENTTWINZ TV YouTube channel earlier this year, Mhlakela said he received a vision of Jesus himself, who allegedly warned him that the “rapture is upon us”.

According to Mhlakela, God will “rescue the Christians out of the world” between 23rd and 24th September, during the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, also known as the Feast of Trumpets, which marks the start of the Jewish New Year. He warned that this week, God’s judgement would leave Earth “unrecognisable” and cause a rupture so powerful that “the Earth will shake”.

“I saw Jesus sitting on his throne, and I could hear him very loud and clear saying, ‘I am coming soon,’” Mhlakela claimed.

While his followers appear to be taking the prophecy seriously, many others are less convinced. The New York Post reports that some people have even quit their jobs in preparation for the so-called rapture. On the other side of the debate, social media users have dismissed Mhlakela’s vision as a publicity stunt.

“To all the people supporting him: how can you trust the word of a man who doesn’t have proof of his ‘encounter’ with Jesus?” one person asked on Reddit.

Comedian Kevin Fredericks also poked fun at the prediction in an Instagram Reel, joking: “What time zone is it happening in? Because the whole thing about the rapture that I was taught was that no man knows the date or the hour… There are 24 time zones on Earth, 38 if you include the ones that have half-hour times.”

So, is this truly the end, or just another failed prophecy to add to the long list of doomsday predictions like the Mayan calendar in 2012? One thing’s for sure: If you’re reading this, the world hasn’t ended… yet.
