Drag Race drama has erupted after three of Shea Couleé’s drag daughters quit her haus

One said ‘don’t let anyone impose their narcissistic, parental abuse onto you’

Shea Couleé is one of the biggest RuPaul’s Drag Race success stories in the history of the show. She narrowly missed winning the whole thing on season eight, and then took the All Stars crown with ease on season five. She then got very close to winning All stars 7 too – the first All Winners season. Recently, Shea has dominated with a starring role in the Marvel series Ironheart. However, Shea Couleé has now been embroiled in some drama after three of her drag daughters – Kenzie the Dragon, Bambi Banks and Khloe Park – have all quit her drag family haus at once. It’s left everyone wondering what’s been going on with the Drag Race winner and the drag daughters, so here are all the statements and what Shea Couleé and said since it happened last night.

Kenzie the Dragon announced a name change on her story

Kenzie the Dragon, previously known as Maison Couleé, wrote across two Instagram stories “After 10 years of performing as firstborn Maison Couleé, I am changing my name to Kenzie the Dragon… but I will always be your favourite Couleé.

“Aligning myself with peace, community and love… Associating me with myself… Cleansing my orbit of narcissists and energy leeches… Letting misery be it’s [sic] own company… To all my supporters and fans that know and love my art; this is simply part of the evolution.”

She then continued by saying “To all up and coming performers: be weary [sic] of grown adults trying to belittle you, who claim your successes as theirs when they were no where [sic] to be found for years, who align themselves with you because they see your light and want to leech from your energy.

“Be weary of these ‘drag family’ structures; don’t let anyone impose their narcissistic parental abuse onto you; you’re not a character in their show.”

There has been speculation that Kenzie seemingly is aiming this at Shea, adding: “Let’s just say having 1mil+ followers will truly have a bitch in psychosis; have you surrounded by clout-chasing yes-men who agree with everything you say.”

Bambi Banks-Couleé also dropped the Couleé

Bambi Banks announced she was dropping Shea’s surname and then warned those who wanted to ask her about the situation further, saying “No I will not tell you what happened until I AM ready to tell it. This is not gossip for you to approach me with in hopes for some quick tea. Any questions about this without me bringing it up myself will result in a halted conversation.”

Khloe Parks did a grid post

Khloe Park seemingly directed the following at Shea saying “Unlike someone else in this situation I choose to be a little more classy about this matter and I will tell my story when I’m ready and it’s not just words on a screen…

“Don’t believe everything you see on tv. Remember I’ve been behind that curtain for years.”

In a follow up Instagram story added later, she claimed: “Let’s see.. You sat in my biological mother’s face and lied to her before she passed away making a promise you did not keep. You taught me 0 drag as a ‘parent’ & you constantly put others above us because they kissed your ass more/ fed your ego or had some kind of fame.”

What has Shea Couleé said about it?

As of publication, Drag Race winner Shea Couleé is yet to address the situation with her drag daughters. She has however posted a number of cryptic Instagram stories saying various messages. One of them said “If you wanna fly, you got to give up the shit that weighs you down”. Another said “This era is called: keeping a good heart but being more selective about who gets access to it.”
