Drake finally addresses that hilarious ‘fake’ abs selfie – and admits he edited it

This June, Drake broke the internet after posting a shirtless picture, but not for the reason he hoped. Instead of admiring his chiseled abs, people in his comments were pointing out how fake his six-pack looked. In the newest episode of Bobbi Althoff’s podcast Not This gain, he finally addressed the rumours.

Bobbie and Drake were discussing the fitness routine of his seven-year-old son, who he says works out more than he ever has. The rapper’s infamous selfie was brought up, and he admitted he did actually edit the picture.

“So he doesn’t have to photoshop his body like you?” Bobbi said.

When Drake started changing the subject, Bobbie said: “Why are you acting like that’s not a question everyone has?”

He then revealed the reason why that selfie looked so off.

“I think that pic, I think it was just like I came from the gym, I was sweaty in that pic. Maybe I like went on Facetune and put details up,” Drake said.

The Canadian artist admitted his abs don’t actually look like that in real life.

“Maybe I like heightened the saturation on it or something. I think I like hit it too hard, I hit it too hard. They don’t look like that, you saw them.”

The comments under the selfie are full of people making fun of Drake, with lots of commenters doubting his abs were actually real.

“Ordered abs on Temu and forgot to order shoulders and triceps lol,” said one comment with 40k likes.

“If he did a sit up, he would make a squeaky sound,” said another.

Last year, Drake was even accused of getting surgeries to fake having abs by his rap rival Kendrick Lamar.

He doubled down with the cover art for his next Drake diss track Meet The Grahams, which showed medical equipment and prescriptions that link to cosmetic surgery.
