We’re hiring for a Social Media Editor and a TikTok Editor – applications close Thursday 4th September
Warwick students: Are you interested in a career in journalism? Well, look no further, as The Warwick Tab has officially opened its applications for the upcoming year’s editorial team!
It’s time to pass on our legacy to bright and keen students who are ready to run the social media for the best student newspaper in Warwick.
If you think you have what it takes to lead a team of student writers and thousands of followers across our socials, keep reading.
Applications are open for a Social Media Editor and TikTok Editor.
Journalism experience is not necessary, but definitely encouraged. Training will be provided to successful applicants from The Tab HQ, but being part of the editorial team means serious commitment – make sure you thoroughly consider that you will be able to bring your all to the team.
The deadline for submitting applications is next Thursday 4th September at 23:59pm.

Here’s what the roles will involve.
Social Media Editor
The Social Media Editor will have the responsibility to create posts and stories for our Instagram. With almost 14,000 followers, it’s important to post regularly to keep followers engaged and keep up our brand. As well as condensing long form content into a post, you must be clued up about meme culture, on the ball to keep The Warwick Tab on trends, and be confident in front of the camera for video interviews.
Experience with Canva and other editing software is needed for this role for creating posts.
You’ll be making posts like these:
TikTok Editor
Most Read
Similarly to the Social Media Editor, our TikTok Editor must be up to date with online trends and Warwick Uni culture. You must also be skilled in various editing software to create our TikTok content, which involves recreating viral trends for our audience, making any long-form content into an eye-catching video and being confident in front of and behind the camera when conducting interviews for our platforms.
