This is everything Millie Bobby Brown was doing while Stranger Things was on pause

While we’ve all been patiently waiting for the final season of Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown has been living a life so packed it could rival the Upside Down.

She and husband Jake Bongiovi revealed yesterday they have  welcomed their first child, a baby girl, via adoption. Yep, while we’ve been waiting for Hawkins, Millie’s been starting a whole new chapter of real life.

The 21-year-old who shot to fame as Eleven has spent the past three years doing… well, pretty much everything except filming the supernatural drama.

Here’s what she’s been doing since the last series dropped in May 2022.

Going Instagram official

First up: romance. Millie and Jake first went Instagram-official in November 2021. We first got a glimpse of the couple on the red carpet at the Stranger Things 4 premiere in May 2022, where Millie brought Jake along as her plus one. Cute, but just the tip of the iceberg.

Getting engaged

Fast forward less than a year, and April 2023 rolls around: engagement! Millie and Jake confirmed their engagement with matching Instagram posts, and Millie’s caption basically summed up all our feelings, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all” – yes, quoting Taylor Swift. Iconic.

Then came their secret wedding. In June 2024, The Sun reported that Millie and Jake had secretly tied the knot. Millie casually confirmed this milestone with a pair of cheeky jean shorts emblazoned with “Wifey” on the back, because why announce your marriage with words when you can do it with denim? She rounded out the look with a baseball cap that read: “Wife of the party.” The vibes were immaculate.

Having wedding round two

And if that wasn’t enough, October 2024 saw a second, more formal celebration in Italy. The couple exchanged vows at Villa Cetinale, Millie stunning in a custom Galia Lahav gown and Jake in a Tom Ford tux. Romantic doesn’t even begin to cover it.

And finally, becoming parents

Now, just this week, Millie and Jake have added the ultimate life update: they are officially parents! The pair welcomed a baby girl via adoption, announcing it on Instagram with the caption: “This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3.”

So yes, while we’ve all been counting down the days to Stranger Things season 5, Millie has been busy turning her life into its own epic series. Between engagement posts, secret weddings, Italian celebrations, and now motherhood, it’s honestly a miracle she even remembered to breathe – let alone act.

Of course, it’s not all love and family. Millie’s been busy with her career too. From starring roles in Damsel, The Electric State and Enola Homes 2, and expanding her production work, she’s been keeping herself creatively occupied while we wait for Hawkins. She even released her debut novel Nineteen Steps in 2023, a historical romance inspired by her grandmother’s experiences during World War Two. Whew.

Season 5 might be coming in November, but let’s be real: Millie Bobby Brown’s life has been the real blockbuster.
