Sophie reveals missing context of why she quit Love Is Blind UK and it’s so much more brutal
Ok now I feel really bad for her
In the third episode of Love Is Blind UK season two, we saw Sophie dramatically walk out the pods and quit the show. She had been dating Kieran, who also had a connection with Megan.
After the first few episodes dropped, Sophie appeared on the Love Is Blind podcast alongside Patrick – you know, spleen guy. In the chat, she spoke about what really happened between her and Kieran.
On the show, we saw Kieran explore connections with both Sophie and Megan. He later decided his connection with Megan was stronger, and gifted her a teddy sprayed in his aftershave. When this got back to Sophie, she decided she didn’t want to be a second choice, and on her next date with Kieran, walked away.

But now, Sophie has revealed a lot of context got cut from the Netflix episodes. It was a lot more emotional than what we saw. Speaking of watching the episode back, Sophie said: “I had a good cry I’m not going to lie. I watched it and it felt like Sophie from a year ago. You go through the same emotions again.”
She later explained that she and Megan have no bad blood, and she has never had a problem with her. “We weren’t close. We did have conversations that weren’t shown but we both respected each other’s journey,” Sophie said.

Sophie explained that after Kieran gifted Megan the teddy, she was “very emotional” but her issue was not with Megan. “I’m a lover girl, any love story I’m sold. So if they find love, beautiful. But I wasn’t happy with his communication to me. If you had those intentions to do that, just let me know. So I don’t have to sit in a situation that’s not very comfortable.”

It would seem we missed a lot of the extra context. Guest Joe Baggs then asked Sophie if she felt “blindsided” by Kieran, and she replied: “Yeah. What you don’t see is that I was on the date before. So, he went on a date with me and then went on a date with Megan. And then she got the teddy.
“The reason I was so upset is because I openly spoke about how important communicating is. I feel like he should have said, ‘You know what Soph, I have connections elsewhere, I am doing something just to let that girl know.’ Then I would have been fine. But it felt embarrassing.”
She then explained that she in reality sat with Kieran “for about an hour” before she told him she was going to quit. “I listened to him tell me about how our life would be, still not addressing that he sent a girl a teddy,” she said.”
Sophie believes Kieran knew what he was doing when he gave Megan the teddy – and used it as an “out”. She explained: “And then I said, ‘Listen, you’re far to intelligent to act naive’.” Oh, she gagged him!
