So, it turns out Kieran from Love Is Blind UK is a millionaire with a super swanky business
He was featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30
Love Is Blind UK might have only just returned for its second series, but already I’m obsessed with the new cast. What do you mean there’s a guy on there who won’t stop going on about his spleen? And, did anyone else know Kieran from Love Is Blind UK is actually a millionaire?! He kept that one quiet!
When he joined the Love Is Blind UK pods, Kieran quietly said he works in tech and gaming, and “is a bit of a nerd”. What he failed to mention is just how successful he really is. But don’t worry, you’ll find out here instead. Here are all details.
What is the business Kieran from Love Is Blind UK owns?
It would seem Kieran Holmes-Darby really played down his business during Love Is Blind UK series two. When he was just 19 he launched a brand alongside his brother called Excel, a UK Esports company. Esports is basically gamers playing competitively, and earning potentially huge salaries.
The brand has become one of Britain’s most successful Esports teams in League of Legends and Fortnite. According to his LinkedIn, Kieran founded one of the UK’s first professional Esports teams.
As per Esports News, Excel became surprisingly included as one of the franchise teams in the LEC, Europe’s major tournament for League of Legends – one of the world’s most popular Esports.
In 2023, Excel combined with Spanish organisation Giants Gaming, and formed the GIANTX brand, which is now huge in Esports. Kieran has also joined sports and gaming-focused creative agency Ear to the Ground, as a business director.
The company has made Kieran a millionaire, and he was featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list

Excel is estimated to be worth millions now, and has been all the way since 2014. So, Kieran is a well-established millionaire. Kieran now holds membership with Mensa, and landed himself on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
His Forbes profile reads: “Kieran Holmes-Darby is putting U.K. esports on the map. His Excel team started as a university dorm room hobby now competes in Fortnite and League of Legends with a squad of 30 players. Having brought in ambassadors like England footballer Dele Alli, Holmes-Darby is nurturing some of the U.K.’s top gaming talent including 16-year-old pro Fortnite player Jaden ‘Wolfiez’ Ashman.”
It looks as though after raising investment, Kieran and his brother Joel were bought out of the company, so managed to cash in on their success.
And he was in a documentary!

Off the back of all of his success, Kieran and his brother featured in BBC Three’s docu-series Fight for First: EXCEL SPORTS. The synopsis reads: “Sports documentary series following British underdogs Excel Esports as they fight to be taken seriously in the global esports scene.”
