People think Lana Del Rey’s Ethel Cain diss track drops Friday, and more shady lyrics leaked
The beef is about to kick off all over again
The entire Lana Del Rey versus Ethel Cain drama isn’t even a week old, but it’s about to have its second life after people think the track is about to be released. In case you missed it, things blew up between Lana Del Rey and Ethel Cain last week after Lana posted a snippet of a new song that names Ethel Cain in the lyrics and references various incidents between the two that suggest they certainly aren’t mates. Even Nicki Minaj got hooked on the drama over the weekend. Obviously, Lana Del Rey is not known for releasing songs very proactively – but now more shady lyrics about Ethel Cain have apparently leaked as people think the song is coming out on Friday.
Here’s the latest in one of the wildest pop culture dramas – and so far, all Ethel Cain has done to acknowledge Lana Del Rey namedropping her in the lyrics is announce she’d been blocked by Lana on Instagram.

As of yesterday, the Lana Del Rey song teased about Ethel Cain is now being recognised on Shazam when it’s played. This is apparently confirming the title is All About Ethel, which was rumoured last week when the beef kicked off.

It might mean nothing because as I said previously, Lana Del Rey isn’t the most reliable when it comes to releases. But considering it is now being recognised on Shazam alongside 57.5 – a song previously debuted live on Lana’s tour dates earlier this year – people believe both songs might be dropping as a double release.
Lana Del Rey also updated her Spotify picture – leaving more people convinced something is coming.
More shady lyrics have allegedly leaked
The most eyebrow raising of the lyrics that have allegedly leaked from the Lana Del Rey Ethel Cain diss track is the above, which mentions two Jacks. “By the way, Jack said don’t call him. And take the other Jack’s name out your phone” is the key point of interest here. People believe the first Jack mentioned to be Jack Antonoff, who has produced this song for Lana Del Rey and is obviously a very in demand producer.
However, it seems unlikely Ethel Cain would be calling him – she did say on Tumblr in 2022 that she had no interest in working with him when a fan messaged her saying they’d love it.
The second Jack is of course being Jack Donoghue, who Lana Del Rey dated and had a viral picture with in Chicago – before Ethel Cain also posted her own picture with him. It’s rumoured but not confirmed that she too also had some romantic involvement with Jack Donoghue.
Guess we’ll see when Friday comes around if the song is actually dropping!
