Um, everyone’s just finding out the Ibiza Final Boss’s dad is a literal criminal?!

Just when you thought the saga of the Ibiza Final Boss couldn’t get any more chaotic, it turns out his dad is basically a real-life GTA NPC with a criminal record.

Jack Kay, 26, became an accidental internet celebrity this summer after footage of him partying around Ibiza went viral. With his Lego-block haircut, blinding white teeth, and shoulders that look like they’ve been rented from a Marvel stunt double, he was instantly dubbed the “Ibiza Final Boss” by the internet.

But now, everyone’s jaw is hitting the floor for a different reason. His dad, John Kay, has been in and out of prison for more than a decade for crimes that range from shotgun blasts to jewellery theft, the Daily Mail reports.

Back in 2009, John attempted to rob a petrol station in Gateshead armed with a 12-bore shotgun. When staff refused to let him in, he literally fired through the glass. In 2015, he was banged up for stealing £700 worth of jewellery and personal items from a woman’s home. And in 2021, on Christmas Eve, he broke into an elderly man’s house, stole his car keys, and drove off. A judge called it “a terrifying ordeal,” we call it… unhinged.

The three-strike burglar was jailed again in 2023 for two-and-a-half years, adding yet another chapter to a crime career your average heist movie would find “a bit much”. Jack’s grandmother Cynthia told the Daily Mail that John is now out of prison and has put his criminal past behind him.

Meanwhile, Jack’s been doing his own thing — being papped in Ibiza, attracting Big Brother producers, and being called “the Big I Am” by mates back in Newcastle. A local woman, Alisha Cook, has even claimed she’s his girlfriend, posting TikToks of him with captions like “POV: your boyfriend’s now known as the Ibiza Final Boss”.

So, to recap: dad’s a convicted burglar, and son’s a meme king potentially heading for reality TV glory. We’re not saying we’d watch that family Christmas special, but… actually, yes we would.
