These incredibly wholesome TikTokers make the chronic screen time feel totally worth it

They cured my brain rot

The love for TikTok is one that most of us have after a hard days work to rewind and relax. Some may call it bed rotting, but I call that cheeky scroll a well deserved break. We’re suckers for a GRWM or an ASMR, anything to distract us from our chaotic lives.

There are literally influencers out there for everything these days, but in a world full of cancel culture and fear of giving the wrong people a platform, these wholesome TikTokers won’t let us down.

1. Jess and Norma

@jessandnorma

Saw @jack rem x doing this with his Nan and I just couldn’t resist trying with Norma 😂😂💀💀 #norma #jessandnorma #nan

Both Jess and her Nan blew up on TikTok after sharing an insight into their adorably close relationship. Their first post in August 2021 was a lighthearted comparison of Norma’s appearance to that of Queen Elizabeth II, which quickly resonated with viewers and set the tone for their wholesome and humorous content.

They’re quick to jump on trending topics but always go back to basics, sharing moments of their life together that literally melts our hearts.  Their humour is unstoppable, but it doesn’t top the relatable advice and example Norma sets for us all.

2. Ann Russell

How can you not love Ann Russell? She’s the mum, auntie or grandparent we all need and actually way gives better advice than Google can. Whether it’s washing or cooking, Ann has the answer. She’s even written her own book! Her 2.1 million followers haven’t gone to her head either. Her bio is literally just “That English cleaner lady! Hopefully being helpful.”

3. Olly Bowman

@mrmelk_

I always get nervous before going in a dance circle lol and nearly didn’t here, but luckily had a hype squad to get me in

♬ Murder She Wrote – Chaka Demus & Pliers

He’s not even our national treasure because he’s Australian, but Olly Bowman is such a golden retriever. He’s a wholesome TikToker who shares humorous takes on everyday situations, dance challenges, and personal anecdotes. His whole mantra is about being your authentic self and he shows himself navigating challenging social or mental situations in an effort to inspire others to follow suit.

With over 800k followers, he’s clearly doing something right.

John first joined TikTok in 2021, where he attempted Gordon Ramsay’s Cornish carbonara recipe. His videos offer viewers a cozy dinner experience where he thanks us for coming over for dinner, tells us what he’s making and asks us for the highlight of our day. His POV cooking videos are so comforting, partly due to his soothing narration and warm, inclusive atmosphere – but also due to his impressive culinary skills.

His content took off during lockdown and he’s now got over 396,000 followers and continues to cook every week for us.

London based TikToker Olivia blew up after sharing content centred around body positivity, mental health, and self acceptance. She started posting in July 2020 and now has over 861,000 followers. Her videos focus on fashion, but also candid discussions about her personal journey, including her recovery from an eating disorder.

She strives to normalise bodies online, including things that both herself and her followers often disregard as “unattractive”. Her whole approach to life and rejecting unrealistic ideals is incredibly brave and you can tell she’s just a ray of sunshine. She’s without a doubt one of the most wholesome TikTokers on the app.

6. Bella Hill

One half of the Best Friends Who podcast, Bella hill is an authentic, relatable content creator and has resonated with a broad audience. She’s got over 940,000 followers and is without a doubt one of the most wholesome TikTok influencers on the platform due to her genuine personality.

Her relationship with her boyfriend with James, who she hosts the podcast with, is authentic and they share loads of lighthearted moments, including her endless hunt for Jellycats and Laboubous.

7. Mads (cripanddip)

@cripandip

sandwich hunting in Paris 🥪🥪🥪🥪why am I getting such bad luck w takeaways atm 😭😭 when I say EVERYONE recommended this place did I just go on a bad day?!! I know it would’ve been better to eat straight away buuuuut the ingredients just weren’t it for me 🥲 the salad was really limp, nothing really had any seasoning or loveeee – what am I missing x

♬ original sound – Mads

Food influencer Mads gained her fame through her series of hungover takeaways. Since then, she’s gone on to establish a series of trying various crisp and dip combinations, and crisp and wine combinations. But out of all of her content she consistently shows up behind the camera on the same background sharing her honest reviews and recipes with little judgment and more comfort.

Her pickling videos also show her mistake and triumphs as she learns more about food and culture with her audience. She’s just totally genuine and normal and her followers love her for it.

8. Daisy Jackson

@ventwithdaisy2

open my year 12 mock results with me!! 👀 it feels like ages since i did them so it’s so nice to finally have some results 🫢

Daisy is one of the younger wholesome TikTokers who shared her journey through A Levels, getting ready for parties and her Sunday resets. She lives in the countryside but is always up for fun and is a candid face on your FYP.

Her content shows both her academic side, but also the life of a normal teenage girl, so you never feel guilty for bed rotting or grafting in the library. Dare I say she’s inspired me to get an assignment done from time to time.
