Here’s what the Virgin Island cast are all doing now, a year after the show was filmed

Channel 4’s Virgin Island has come to an end, and it’s time to find out what the cast are all doing now, over a year after the show was filmed.

The six-episode reality series followed 12 brave adult virgins who embarked on an intimacy course at a boujie Mediterranean retreat to overcome their intimacy anxiety.

In the final episode, we saw 24-year-old Dave become the only participant to actually lose his virginity at the retreat, but one more has gotten lucky since getting home.

Here’s what they’re all getting up to.

Holly

Holly is the only one who has lost her virginity after the show, and the first thing she did was update the cast group chat.

“I messaged the chat almost as soon as it happened. I was excited to tell them!” she told The Sun.

She got a boyfriend five months after filming finished slept with him. According to her, “It didn’t go terribly.”

They’re not together anymore, but the dog groomer said the show has helped her become a “new, improved version of me”.

Dave

Since the show, Dave has slept with two more women – and he has a girlfriend! They started dating six months after filming finished and met on Hinge.

“I never would have been able to talk to her without this show. But I don’t think my girlfriend will watch, for obvious reasons,” he said.

“She watched the first four episodes, but it’s getting a bit much now. You don’t want to see your partner with someone else, even if it was a year ago.”

“Some of them aren’t amazing. But my girlfriend is happy. Our first time together was amazing,” Dave added about his new bedroom skills. “I’m oozing testosterone now.”

Taylor

After the show, Taylor built up the confidence to come out as gay, but is still a virgin “despite my best efforts”.

“I feel like other people are repressed. If they can’t make eye contact or initiate contact, it isn’t going to work,” she said about dating.

Ben

Ben has been on dates with three more women and has updated his spreadsheet, where he keeps notes about them all.

“We got a little intimate on one of our dates – I kissed her on the lips a bit. It went quite well,” he said – but that’s as far as things have gone for him.

Emma

After Virgin Island, Emma went on a date with fellow cast member Viraj, but it didn’t work out for them.

“I’m not in the right mindset for a relationship – there is a lot I need to work on,” she said.

She has “ex­plor­­ed intimacy” with other people, but still hasn’t done the deed.

Charlotte

The show helped Charlotte get an ADHD diagnosis, and she’s now taking medication.

She feels “much happier” and “more comfortable in my skin and in romantic situations”.

Pia

Virgin Island also helped Pia talk to her family about her vaginismus, a condition that makes sex painful.

She started chatting to an old lover again, but they decided they were better off as friends.

Zac

It doesn’t sound like things are going very well for Zac, who told The Sun: “The bulk of the practical and physical skills that were explored have eluded me.”

“Being able to express my thoughts and feelings is a work in progress,” he added. Oh dear!

Jason

Jason hasn’t lost his virginity yet, but he asked Louise on a date and she agreed. She’s relocated to New Zealand, though.

He’s joined Hinge in the meantime while he waits for her to return – if she ever actually does!

Louise

As for Louise, she did say she’s open to dating Jason despite the distance.

“We have stayed in touch, and are very good friends,” she revealed. “His question caught me by surprise. He’s got a great heart and could 100 per cent laugh your pants off.”

Tom

“I’m still single, and I haven’t had a one-night stand in the last year, so I can’t say I’ve put too much of it into practice,” Tom revealed.

“That said, the therapy has given me confidence, which I’ve used every day since.”
