A body language expert breaks down JoJo and Chris Hughes’ *true* feelings about each other
Their interview on This Morning proved they’re on completely different pages
This week, everyone has been talking about JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes following their appearance in the Celebrity Big Brother house. During the show, they formed a close bond, and have since said they are “soulmates”. The plot then thickened when JoJo broke up with her partner, at the CBB wrap party.
Now, Chris and JoJo have been hanging out loads. People are constantly questioning if they are just friends, or if there is something more between them. Yesterday, they appeared together in an interview on This Morning. This was the first televised, candid chat they’d had since the house.
During it, they insisted that their relationship is nothing more than really good friends right now. But JoJo didn’t rule out the idea of something happening in the future. They called it a “soulmate friendship”.
Body language expert Judi James has broken down the interview even further, and said Chris is already “feeling awkward” and trying to “pull away” from JoJo, who is “besotted”. It would seem the pair don’t agree with where things stand.

She told MailOnline: “The body language during this first ‘couple’s’ interview suggests this is a reality ‘no-mance’ with Chris in particular gently but carefully uncoupling professionally, and maybe also emotionally, from JoJo, who shows some signs of wanting to remain in their bliss-bubble a little longer.”
Judi claimed Chris, who was sat closest to the show’s hosts, mirrored their body language to “define himself on their team” and not with JoJo. She said JoJo was instead looking up at Chris “like a child trying to get attention.” Um, brutal?

Judi added: “Chris’s attention when JoJo did get it involved a patting of her leg, which was a parental-looking signal to calm down as he turned his attention fully back to the presenters.” Judi also said Chris looked “distracted” and “slightly uncomfortable” when JoJo spoke.
“Chris described their relationship in the house as ‘a nice thing to have’. When asked to define their relationship, Chris sat impassive, looking ahead while JoJo patted his shoulder and eye-checked him, suggesting she’s the one who is unsure about the dynamics of their relationship,” Judi said.
“As she gazed at his face to find out he brought his left hand up in a cut-off ritual, wiping his nose with it in an act of what looked like rejection of any sense of romance as he said it was ‘just’ a strong friendship.”
Judi added that JoJo was “doing the heavy lifting” in the relationship and that Chris “squirmed” when he was asked if things were platonic.

Reddit is also convinced the pair are on slightly different pages. In a post discussing the interview on This Morning, one person noted JoJo is “100 per cent feeling Chris” and you could tell this by the way she was “intently looking at him whilst he was explaining how he felt.”
In the comments, they discussed how Chris was different. “He was slightly turned away from her, whereas she was turned in towards him,” one person observed. “He put his hand across his chest a couple of times, which is a sign of feeling defensive (not necessarily in an affronted way but an uncomfortable way) whereas JoJo patted his shoulder a few times (though it looked to be done in a reassuring way).”
