Uh-oh, Teejay says he ‘absolutely regrets’ sleeping with Beth during MAFS Australia

MAFS Australia 2025 groom Teejay has admitted he regrets sleeping with on-screen bride Beth whilst they were in the experiment. Right now, conversation in Beth and Teejay’s relationship on the show has been about their shared intimacy.

Beth said that they were intimate during their honeymoon, but after that Teejay said he’d wanted to build up more of an emotional connection before they were again. Prior to MAFS homestays, the couple were intimate again. So, Beth assumed this was because Teejay felt more emotionally connected to her. But, then he said he didn’t. It was all a bit confusing.

In an interview since the show has wrapped, Teejay has admitted one of his regrets from the show was sleeping with Beth. Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle, he said he “absolutely regrets” the decision, and giving her mixed messages about their connection.

“I could make up any excuse in the book – Beth gave me the green light in her confessions letter, Alessandra [Rampolla] asked Beth if she needed an emotional connection in order to have sex and she said no. But regardless, it was my decision to initiate that,” he said.

“And even though Beth did say yes, it probably wasn’t the right decision on my behalf and I definitely appreciate where Beth’s coming from there. She would have been confused and watching it back I’m like, ‘F*ck, why did you do that Teejay? That was so silly’. It definitely wasn’t the right move at the time.”

That being said, he added that he doesn’t think he really did anything wrong with how he treated Beth. He added: “In my opinion, I don’t think I necessarily did something wrong other than tell her how I felt in that situation. I was never unfaithful, I never lied, I never degraded her or did anything like that, I just told her how I felt in the moment.

“Yeah, it was sh*t, because no one wins in that situation. I don’t want to make Beth unhappy, and I know that telling her that information would have made her unhappy too, but I just needed to be honest.”
