Hold on, Jamie nearly quit MAFS Australia after Dave’s behaviour in feedback week?!

Jamie did not seem to have a great time during feedback week on MAFS Australia 2025. Adrian theorised that Dave wasn’t keen on being, ahem, intimate with her because he wasn’t physically attracted to her. Dave then flat-out told Jamie that he didn’t love her back. Ouch. Jamie has revealed that these events actually led her to nearly quit MAFS Australia.

She told the Daily Mail Australia: “I felt like my whole world imploded during feedback week. I came back to a man who was very different… It caused a lot of trust issues and anxiety where they didn’t need to be.

“I 1,000 per cent wanted to leave. I threw my stuff out the day of the commitment ceremony. I felt unsafe. I’d been vulnerable, intimate, I’d shared real emotions with this man – and suddenly it felt like I’d been deceived.”

Spoiler alert: Jamie does stay in the experiment after feedback week. But apparently her relationship with Dave never really recovered from this key moment. She said in another Daily Mail interview:

“After feedback week, I never felt like I got the relationship back. My skin broke out, my hair was falling out. I was sick during final vows. It was like the universe was screaming at me – this is not it.”

She continued: “We all learned the lesson of ‘enough is enough’. You can’t glorify bare minimum behaviour. You can’t say yes to subpar treatment. We all deserved better – and I think a lot of us were settling.”

Dave explained on the Robbie & Carly For Breakfast podcast that his feelings changed towards Jamie after Feedback Week. Before the couples’ retreat, he visited his dad who is sadly battling cancer. Dave says his “walls went up” and his relationship with Jamie took a turn for the worst. He said: “I was just like caught up in this whirlwind of an experiment with other couples and I shut down.”
