EIGHT of the MAFS Australia cast knew each other before the show and I can’t keep up?!

MAFS Australia is wild this year because not two, not three but EIGHT cast members already knew each other romantically before the show.

Considering there are only 24 brides and grooms in total, that means a whole third of them already knew someone in the season 12 cast.

Here’s a little recap of all the 2025 cast members who met in the past, and how they actually know each other.

Carina and Paul

Carina and Paul had the shock of their lives when they met at the altar and realised they already knew each other. They matched on a dating app a year before their MAFS wedding and texted for around a week. Then, they went on a hiking date, but things fizzled out because Paul never followed things up. I bet he regrets that now!

Rhi and Jeff

Rhi and Jeff realised they knew each other at their wedding too, but things were a little more serious between them. They dated for about four of five weeks in 2023 before mutually deciding to go their separate ways because the timing wasn’t right. The pair stayed friends though, and they sometimes met up for coffee and even ran a half marathon together.

Jamie slept with new intruder groom Teejay in the past, but it never went any further than that. It happened when they were 17 and both living in Adelaide, so it was a really long time ago. Jamie spilled the gossip at Beth and Teejay’s wedding but it was cut from the show, and Beth has admitted she did feel a bit threatened at first.

Sierah and Dave

In the biggest shock of all, it’s now been revealed that Dave also had a thing with Sierah before MAFS Australa. Yes, really! Jamie revealed this in a new interview on the Robbie & Carly for Breakfast podcast, teasing: “Dave may have been on a date with Sierah six years ago.”

“Dave had told me prior to [the first Dinner Party], because Sierah had been leaked [as a participant]. I was like, I don’t care if you’ve had sex with her upon entry, like I’m cool. And then Sierah came up to me immediately at the first cocktail party and told me but it was just so funny because it’s like how small is the MAFS world?” she added.
