Um, MAFS’ Jacqui has an Arabic tattoo on her back and the translation isn’t even correct
Well that’s embarrassing
Jacqui from MAFS Australia has made a TikTok about everything at this point, including her tattoo that doesn’t even mean what she thinks.
The bride has Arabic text inked in the middle of her back, and she explained its incorrect translation in a video.
“So I got a tattoo in Arabic and people are like ‘What does it mean? I can’t tell. It’s in another language’,” she said.
“I’m like ‘Oh my tattoo means I’m a badass as in like, I got a tattoo because I’m a badass, but it also literally translates to ‘I am a badass’.”

She said it’s “ironic” and “iconic” and she loves the tattoo because it sums up her “sense of humour” perfectly.
“The people who know, know, and the people who get it, get it, and it’s like one in 100 people who will laugh at that,” the 29-year-old continued.
We reached out to professional Arabic-English translator Saad Burbank to find out what the tattoo really means, and this is where it gets hilarious.
He told The Tab that the Arabic text translates to “solid, strong” in English so it doesn’t mean “I’m a badass” at all.

I mean, there definitely isn’t a direct translation of that phrase to Arabic, so the tattoo artist clearly went with the closest thing.
However, it’s pretty hilarious that she’s going around telling everyone her tattoo means “I’m a badass” when technically it doesn’t.
The actual definition of “badass” is “tough, uncompromising, or intimidating” so it’s not even “solid and strong”.
Someone commented the real definition underneath the TikTok video and Jacqui replied: “Thank you, I’ve never actually done the translation.”

She also explained that it’s in the same position and style as Selena Gomez’s, so that’s where she got her inspiration.

I literally can’t tell whether she’s being sarcastic or serious.
