Jamie reveals secret pact she and Dave made on MAFS honeymoon to stay the strongest couple
They came up with a clever game plan
The MAFS Australia cast are all there to try and find love, but it’s also a game, and the best way to get far in the competition is to have some sort of strategy according to Jamie.
She and Dave are already one of the strongest couples in the 2025 series, and she has claimed that’s down to a secret pact they made very early on, during their honeymoon.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, she said: “A lot of people don’t realise that your partner is your ride or die, like it’s actually you two against the world on MAFS.”
“People easily turn against each other, but if you actually form that alliance and go, ‘Let’s try and make this work and let’s have each other’s back’, it can work.”
“I feel like that’s what we established on the honeymoon and it really worked for us. Dave was very much like, ‘I’ve got your back’ and I was like, ‘I’ve got yours too’,” the 28-year-old continued.
“Let’s communicate and let’s be respectful. So when things came up, we handled things respectfully, we didn’t blame each other, we took accountability, and that’s something you don’t really see too often on MAFS.”

Jamie didn’t gatekeep this secret either, she was actually telling all the other couples to do the same as them too – but they clearly didn’t listen.
“I used to say to a lot of people that you’re in this environment where there’s a big focus on how you’re perceived by others, and I think that comes into play when you’re thinking, ‘Oh Australia is watching me, I’ve got to act a certain type of way’,” the bride continued.

“If you focus on just being a good partner, there’s very little people are going to come at you for. If you’re just devoted to being a good wife or husband, what are people going to say? You’re making someone else happy, you’re respecting your partner.”
She said people get lost in their own perception and how they’re going to be assessed, which is “where people went wrong”.
