He’s been on loads of TV shows: Here’s where you recognise Love Triangle’s Ryan from
Ryan’s infamous audition went viral for all the wrong reasons
Love Triangle returned for its second UK series on E4 on Monday, and with it came a new cast of hopefuls ready to try and get their foot in the door of becoming reality TV royalty. The first season didn’t really make many waves, but it did bring big drama and clearly E4 are hedging their bets for it to take off with its second season. And they’ve done that by casting reality TV mainstays who a lot of people might have forgot about – but not I. One of the cast members of Love Triangle, Ryan Ruckledge, instantly set off every bit of my memory. Ryan from Love Triangle has been on a load of TV shows before, so here’s where you definitely recognise him from if you’re watching Love Triangle scratching your head.
You probably know him from his cursed The X Factor bootcamp moment
Ryan Ruckledge had an infamous bootcamp moment on The X Factor. It was a year where bootcamp was taking place at a retreat and Ryan was placed in a group with some other artists. The show showed him furious about being made to sign Anything Could Happen by Ellie Goulding, storming out of rehearsals and refusing to practice. The show then shows a montage of Ryan partying and when the audition in front of Cheryl, Rita Ora Nick Grimshaw and Simon Cowell.
The audition is a disaster, with Rita saying she “thinks he’s still drunk”. He scraps with another contestant and walked around the stage doing a ‘slut drop’. It’s safe to say, for obvious reasons, he didn’t get through to Judge’s Houses.

Clearly, Big Brother casting saw this palaver from The X Factor in 2015 and thought Ruckledge was too good for not being on TV. He was made a housemate in the 2016 series on Channel 5 – honestly one of the best of the Channel 5 era of the show. He was most well known on there for having a relationship with Hughie. Ryan and Hughie eventually got engaged, but Ryan announced in 2017 that the two had split up.
This series is also well known for being the one where Andrew Tate was a housemate. Yep, that one.
Other telly stuff
Other TV shows Ryan was on before Love Triangle include him also being on Just Tattoo Of Us – weird era. He starred with his then boyfriend Hughie.
You might also have clocked him on TikTok – if your FYP is anything like mine, he’s a mainstay and is often doing Lives.
