Voting was open from Tuesday 4th to Thursday 6th March

Your LUSU officers for 2025/26 have been announced.

4,491 people voted in this year’s election, choosing between 13 candidates to fill the four positions: President, Education Officer, Wellbeing Officer and Activities Officer. This was an increase of 24 student voters from last year’s total.

There was also an option to Re-Open Nominations (RON). The results were announced on Friday 7th March at 9.30pm.

Here are your Full-Time Officers.

President

Your 2025/26 President is: Rory O’Ceallaigh.

Adam Baguley received 413 votes.

Ben Carter received 483 votes.

Ollie Earnshaw received 1,744 votes.

Rory O’Ceallaigh received 1,848 votes.

RON received 202 votes.

This election went to three rounds of voting as quota was not reached in the initial rounds.

Education Officer

Your 2025/26 Education Officer is: Niamh McAuley.

Matthew Lamb received 324 votes.

Morgan O’Carroll received 412 votes.

Niamh McAuley received 3017 votes.

RON received 160 votes.

Wellbeing Officer

Your 2025/26 Wellbeing Officer is: Leah Buttery.

Eliza Young received 846 votes.

Leah Buttery received 2,597 votes.

RON received 365 votes.

Activities Officer

Your 2025/26 Activities Officer is: Emily Woods.

Emily Woods received 1,486 votes.

Finn Van Bruegel received 891 votes.

Nic Robinson received 807 votes.

Tom Hopkins received 1,425 votes.

RON received 102 votes.
