Love Is Blind cut an entire relationship and dramatic split from season eight – here’s all the drama

I can’t believe we missed all of this

It turns out Love Is Blind cut an entire relationship and wild split from season eight, and now all the drama of what happened is coming out. We know the show cut a couple of engagements from the final edit, and that happens a lot each season for timing reasons. However, even more was cut from the pods this season, and it sounds juicier than ever!

Vanessa Boreland and Adam Bevis had an entire love story, that was edited out the show completely. Now, it appears the couple aren’t allowed to talk about their experiences whilst the show is still airing, but that hasn’t stopped Vanessa’s mum spilling the tea. No contracts there!

Speaking in in an interview with MPR News, Vanessa’s mum Sue Boreland explained her daughter was dating in the pods. She later explained this was Adam. She said they were chatting right up until the retreat section of the show, when they had a “dramatic breakup.”

“She was, like, dating somebody throughout the pods, all the way up until the end, before they go on vacation,” Sue said. “They had this dramatic breakup where they were crying and it was really a big deal. She was kind of surprised. She was like, ‘Wow, with all that going on, I’m wondering why they didn’t show that.’”

She said despite the “dramatic breakup” they did continue to date for a bit after the pods. No engagement though – they broke things off for good shortly after.

Sue also expressed her anger at her daughter’s edit from the show, and called out Love Is Blind’s lack of diversity. Season eight has already been branded the “whitest ever” cast Love Is Blind has had.

The creator of the show addressed the diversity comments. Chris Coelen told Entertainment Weekly: “Well, the show casts itself. We put people in the pods, and you try to have a very diverse group of people in lots of different ways [at the start]. And then the people who get engaged are the people who get engaged.

“The people who fall in love are the people who fall in love. If you’re sort of trying to tick a box, there were lots of people who were in the group coming into the pods who ultimately just didn’t find their person and who we didn’t choose to [follow].”
