Booked and busy! All the biggest things the Buffy cast have starred in since the show

Anthony Head in Motherland AND Ted Lasso is legendary casting

The cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer all entered the glorified status of household name after they finished on the show. Nearly all of them proved how great actors they were cutting their vampire fangs on the chaotic lore of Buffy, so they went on and smashed out some more projects amongst TV and film, naturally. Often, a lot of horror and sci-fi, as you’d expect. With the reboot of Buffy on the horizon and a lot of chat circulating about which of the main cast might be back, here’s a rundown of all the biggest things the Buffy cast have starred in since they hit the big time slaying in Sunnydale.

Sarah Michelle Gellar

Sarah Michelle Gellar obviously is known for playing Daphne in Scooby-Doo, but I’m not counting it here because she filmed them whilst Buffy was still on. Post show she struggled to bag a big hit beyond The Grudge, but recently she had a great guest star role in Do Revenge on Netflix which has been the herald for her return to the limelight after she spent most of the 2010s being a mother and raising her kids.

David Boreanaz

Despite the fact he was barely a good actor in the first season of Buffy, David Boreanaz really proved his chops and he starred as Seeley Boone for a whopping 12 seasons in crime drama Bones. Smashed it, really.

Alyson Hannigan

Alyson Hannigan also hit the big time – she departed playing Willow and quickly starred for the full series run of How I Met Your Mother. She recently appeared on Dancing With The Stars as well!

Anthony Head

I mean, you only have to turn the telly on to see Anthony Head in something in the UK. Most people are loving him in Ted Lasso of recent, but I stanned him the most as Meg’s husband in Motherland. What a show. We need him to make an Amandaland cameo immediately. One of the most booked and busy members of the Buffy cast who has literally starred in everything since that damn vampire show ended.

James Marsters

It was literally a nerd apocalypse when James Marsters got cast as major villainous role Captain John Hart. Wow.

Emma Caulfield

The rejoicing nerds cheers of joy could be heard around the globe when Emma Caulfield, who played Anya on Buffy, not only starred in WandaVision but also came back for Agatha All Along. Wow.

Michelle Trachtenberg

Buffy cast starred

Michelle Trachtenberg is best known when not playing Dawn Summers as the villainous Georgina in Gossip Girl. She came back in season two of the reboot as well. She can do the same for the Buffy one methinks!
