Wait, as if Kris Jenner just revealed Robert Kardashian played tennis with Erik Menendez?!
How has she only just said this
So, let me get this straight. Erik Menendez, one of the two brothers who went to jail for murdering their parents, used to play tennis with the late Robert Kardashian Sr. Kris Jenner very casually dropped the bombshell on The Kardashians, and it’s not the first time her ex-husband has been close to someone accused of murder.
Kris Jenner talks about Rob and Eric
I want a Kris Jenner documentary about how she grew and went back in time. The way she just spoke about how the Menendez brothers used to play tennis in her house?? #TheKardashians

Lyle and Erik Menendez are currently in prison after they were convicted of killing their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez, at their Beverly Hills home in 1989.
The whole thing has been made into a documentary on Netflix, and is a widely-known case. They have been behind bars for over 35 years so far, and were reunited in 2018 as they were put into separate prisons.
A jury in 1995 decided Lyle and Erik Menendez had committed murder in order to get a $14m (£11m) inheritance, which has led to a lot of controversy.
Little did we know that Kris Jenner knew Erik when he was younger, as he’d regularly come to her home she shared with late husband Robert Kardashian Sr, the father of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob.
Rob and Erik were good friends in the 80s, according to Kris, who spilled the news after Kim said a documentary was being made about them.

Kourtney then asked if Kris knew the brothers’ parents, Kitty and Jose, who were killed by their sons in 1989, and she clarified, “No. I knew the kids because Erik used to come over and play tennis with your dad on the weekends.”

Rob and Erik’s friendship was purely sports-focused, with them bonding over their love of tennis.
Yet Kim Kardashian didn’t care to mention that, when she visited the Menendez brothers with her mom in tow, there was already a connection to her father – until The Kardashians season six episode 1, in which she opened up about Robert’s connection to the prisoners.
With Kim’s passion for prison reform in full swing, she’s been advocating to help get the Menendez brothers out of prison, as many think they are innocent.
Kim said she remembered her dad, who died in 2003 and was a practicing attorney for most of his life, “talking about the case and I remember the whole case, growing up in Beverly Hills.”
“The trial, I think, happened when I was, like, 13, so there were big cases that I would love to talk to my Dad about and so this was one of them,” she said in a confessional, before revealing how her studying for a law degree has changed how she thinks about Erik and Lyle’s case.
“Now, being older and seeing it from a different lens, 35 years later, and knowing what I know about the system, I have a whole different outlook on it.”
