Here’s what Kylie Jenner was doing in New York while her family filmed The Kardashians

Kylie Jenner was not around to shoot The Kardashians season six premiere with her family. The busy mom and business manager was in New York, according to her mom Kris Jenner, who said she misses her. It’s no secret that Kylie is her favorite child, which she has openly admitted to during a conversation with Kendall Jenner before.

Kylie Jenner wasn’t featured on The Kardashians season six first episode, and we were really gutted. She’s definitely in more episodes to come, as she features on the trailer alongside Kendall. Kylie also showed behind-the-scenes of filming on her TikTok page, in which her and Kendall agreed that not many get to go to work with their sister every day.

Kris said, “I miss her,” before revealing she was in New York. Kylie even joked that “no-one cares about her” because she was missing from the vital opening shoot on the show, which included Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kendall. Kim joked how they were planning to edit Kylie into the typical Malibu photoshoot!

“I feel bad Kylie couldn’t be here. Because she’s working in New York but…” said Kris, before adding, “I do, I miss her, I miss her energy.” There was a bit of tension, with Khloe and Kim exchanging awkward glances, before Kylie said she’d “told everyone her schedule” but felt nobody was bothered about her absence.

“It’s not like I didn’t want to be there, it’s the fact that they didn’t think it was of importance. So, now they are just gonna punch me in I guess, later, whatever. I’m gonna make it the most fire thing you’ve ever seen,” Kylie added. Kendall reassured her sister and said: “You didn’t miss too much but your presence was missed. By me, at least. You bring me back to life. We won’t tell them that.”

Filming for The Kardashians began in early 2024. Well, we all know that Kylie went public with Timothee Chalamet in September 2023, so she was fully in her lover girl era by that point.

She was first spotted kissing him at Beyonce’s concert in Los Angeles, and since then, it’s believed she’s renting a secret place in New York to spend time with her new beau.

In March last year, Kylie was busy travelling around for her Sprinter tour. That same month, she was being interviewed by the New York Times, in which she was questioned about her new boyfriend.

She told them, “I don’t know how I feel about that. I just don’t want to talk about personal things,” and just a few months later, made a surprise appearance at the Food Network’s NYC Wine & Food Festival in October.

During The Kardashians season 6, Kim is told that her agent had been in talks with Kylie, and accused her mom of “stealing her agent”.

As we all know, Kris is all of her children’s work-obsessed momager, and Kylie is no exception. Kylie has been hard at work over the last year, what with also having launched her new fashion brand, KHY.
