Donald Trump’s granddaughter vlogged his entire inauguration and it’s a tough watch
Prepare to cringe
Thought you’d suffered enough after watching clips of the presidential inauguration on social media? Think again. Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, vlogged his entire inauguration and it’s a tough watch, to say the least.
Trump has been married three times and has five children and 10 grandchildren. His eldest grandchild, 17-year-old Kai Trump, has been a big part of the Trump campaign, particularly thanks to her social media presence. She has over 800,000 subscribers on YouTube, where she posted a vlog of Donald Trump’s entire inauguration and as the eldest granddaughter, she had a front-row seat to it all.
From what we’ve seen on her social media, Kai Trump has always seemed close with her granddad, so it’s no surprise she was in such grand attendance at his inauguration. The vlog is titled “My grandpa became the President again.”
Why is the vlog so awkward?
There are a few reasons why Kai Trump’s vlog is an eerie watch. The entire video is basically just a bunch of clips culminated together for a vlog, but some are so cringeworthy that you actually have to look away.
Kai is a gorgeous girlie, that’s for sure, but the vlog was incredibly choppy. There were random silent parts, political agendas and a moment when she just started singing the Cha Cha Slide? I’m not sure Zoella would be impressed.
She walked her viewers through the day of the inauguration, starting from the morning, doing a get ready with me segment and arriving at the event. The second half of the vlog is the inauguration from her perspective.

One of the final shots of the vlog featured members of the Trump family, slow-dancing to barely audible music, making it look like a very awkward affair.
At the end of the vlog, Kai decides to burst into song and starts performing a rendition of Let It Go from Frozen for no apparent reason. According to the person behind the camera, it’s a “staple of her channel” to sing in the car now. It’s a jarring end to a jarring vlog.
