There’s a huge editing error in the Gavin and Stacey finale that’s actually so stupid

The final-ever episode of Gavin and Stacey aired on Christmas Day and it was everything we could have asked for and more.

From Smithy and Nessa finally getting their happily ever after to Gwen falling in love with Dave Coaches, it was full of iconic moments.

Everyone is praising the perfect ending, but there was a massive editing error in the episode that somehow went unnoticed.

During Smithy’s Stag Do, Mick is drinking a pint of beer that goes from full to half empty and then back to full again.

In the scene, the group are all wearing West Ham football kits while drinking in one of the pubs they used to go to when they were younger.

Larry Lamb’s character then stands up and makes an emotional speech about how he sees Smithy as the second son he never had.

“For a few years it felt like there was something missing, and then one day Gavin brought this friend home from school,” he says with a full pint of beer in his hand.

The camera cuts and the glass is suddenly half empty, even though no time has passed and he’s literally still saying the same sentence.

Then, it cuts to another angle and the beer is completely full again as Mick says young Smithy was “all shy and polite”.

The glaring mistake has gone viral on TikTok, where one person wrote: “Continuity errors are so irritating because you can’t unsee them.”

“Must’ve taken a few takes lol,” said another.  A third person joked that Mick was a “thirsty lad”.

Others have pointed out some more stupid errors in the episode. In the KFC scene, the window says “Barry” when they were supposed to be in Essex!

When the group is on the bus at the end, the view from the windows also switches from being in the field to on the road and then back to the field again.

Um, were the producers asleep?!
