The Birmingham Tab is looking for new writers, and we want you!
We’ll be holding a meeting, alongside a journalist from our HQ in London, at The Goose in Selly Oak on 9th December at 5pm!
After a successful start to this semester, we’ve decided to take on more writers at The Birmingham Tab.
We will be hosting an opening meeting at The Goose in Selly Oak on 9th December at 5pm!
The editorial team will also be joined by our Assistant Editor from The Tab HQ in London, who is a qualified journalist and helps us run our branch of The Tab.
The Tab is a student-led news site that is revolutionising journalism and is focused on highlighting stories that would otherwise be overlooked.
It’s the biggest platform for young journalists in the UK with many writers having gone on to work for other top media organisations in Britain and across the globe.
In our Birmingham team, we strive to provide quality news and entertainment for Brum’s student population, covering serious news, fun guides, and exciting features!
Being a part of The Tab also involves more than just writing articles and writing for us offers you a glimpse into the reality of modern media while allowing you to make new friendships.
All current students are welcome to apply, and journalism experience is not a requirement, as you’ll receive training from experienced editors and journalists from The Tab HQ. One of whom you’ll meet on the 9th!
Our team of writers and editors also receive journalistic training from industry experts, which will give you the foundation you need to excel at writing.
It’s also a great way to boost your CV as former Tabbers have gone on to work for companies such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan, The Guardian, The Times, and the BBC.
