Right, when is Maura Higgins set to arrive in the I’m a Celeb jungle?

I’m a Celeb is off to a cracking start in perhaps the best first episode in recent memory, but viewers have already flocked to social media with one burning question – where is Maura Higgins?

Maura got her big break on Love Island in 2019, and though the time was hard, she has since gone on to dominate social media with drop-dead gorgeous outfits, swoon-worthy glamour shots, and that iconic Irish charm she has become known for.

As the nation collectively sat down to watch I’m a Celeb on Sunday night, many people took to social media to question where Maura was after earlier reports said she was set to star. Don’t fear Love Island viewers, she is coming with Reverend Richard Coles in the near future.

Maura is set to be one of I’m a Celeb’s late arrivals, a position usually reserved for the biggest stars or people they know are going to cause a splash. We’ve already predicted Maura’s reign of chaos in the coming episodes.

Though ITV has yet to make an official statement, previous seasons suggest that Maura could be heading to the I’m a Celeb jungle as soon as next week. In 2023, late arrivals Frankie Dettori and Tony Bellew arrived on day five, while 2022’s disgraced politician Matt Hancock arrived on day four.

An insider spilled the tea

Though Maura was basically confirmed to be joining the show as a late addition, people shared their dismay as she ventured to Las Vegas last week for a SpaceNK brand trip. She was joined by the likes of Stacey Solomon.

“When ye flying out? Future queen of the jungle,” one person questioned, as another echoed, “Should you not be in Australia right now?”

But there’s no reason to stress according to an ITV insider, who told the Mail Online: “She will be arriving this week, the brand trip was always part of the schedule as Maura had agreed to it and it fit into her arrival dates for the Jungle.”
