‘Bullies on set’: Explaining all the drama coming out about the Scream Queens cast right now
Keke Palmer and Skyler Samuels have both now spoken out
This week has seen a lot of drama come out from the Scream Queens set, the popular Ryan Murphy slasher show from back in 2015. Cast members have been speaking out about how things were on the set – calling out behaviour of cast members from Scream Queens and discussed both bullying and a racist comment being made to another cast member. Here’s all the drama coming out about the Scream Queens set explained.
Keke Palmer
Earlier in the week, Keke Palmer did a big interview with the Los Angeles Times to promote her new book, Master of Me: The Secret to Controlling Your Narrative. In the book, Keke Palmer refers to a cast member from Scream Queens as “Brenda” and shares how this cast member made a racist comment towards her on set.
Keke says this cast member was upset after clashing with another person on set, and Keke tried to calm the situation down by saying they all should “have fun and respect each other.”
“Keke, literally, just don’t. Who do you think you are? Martin f***ing Luther King?” the co-star replied.
Keke then explained this further in her LA Times interview, giving more context by saying “It was such a weighted thing that she said, but I didn’t allow that weight to be projected on me, because I know who I am. I’m not no victim. That’s not my storyline, sweetie. I don’t care what her a** said. If I allow what she said to cripple me, then she would.”

Skyler Samuels, who played Grace Gardner on Scream Queens and is most known for the constantly viral “Señorita Awesome” moment in the coffee shop, posted on Instagram sharing her support for Keke and explaining how she feels there were “bullies” on the set.
“I am incredibly proud of Keke for speaking out about her experiences on Scream Queens. That’s what Keke does, she speaks up and stands up, for herself and others. Scream Queens was a very challenging show to make. Keke was one of the only people who stood up for me. She was brave enough to have my back even though she knew that it might make her a target of bullies on set.
“I have unending gratitude for the professionalism and kindness Keke showed me. She is a leading lady in this industry who is well aware of her influence and she uses it for the better.”
