The weirdest and most unnecessary Wicked brand collabs that simply shouldn’t exist
Do the Elphaba crocs help you defy gravity?
The future is unlimited… and so apparently are the brand collabs for the new Wicked film. Now, I don’t think anyone will be surprised that Ariana Grande has made Wicked make-up sets. But I think you will be surprised by the sheer strangeness of some of the weirdest Wicked brand collabs.
Cursed-looking keyrings? Footwear? Body spray? The list is endless. Here are the seven weirdest Wicked brand collabs. Ariana Grande has a lot to answer for.
7. Wicked Elphaba Classic Clog
Er, yes. these are Wicked-themed Crocs. Surely the most wicked thing about these Crocs is how nastily expensive they are. The shoes are £64.99, when the non-Wicked Crocs equivalent is only £44.99. Although, to be fair, these shoes do come with six Wicked-themed Jibbitz™ charms. The “defying Gravity” one glows in the dark. Totally worth the money.
6. Wicked Edition Monopoly Board Game
Um, not that I’m basic and caught up in the Wicked hype train. But I might not object if anyone wanted to buy me this one for Christmas. Look how cute the little tokens are!
5. Kipling x Wicked witch monkey keying
Most Read
I’m a bit confused about what most of the Kipling x Wicked brand collab actually has to do with Wicked. A lot of the tote bags look more teal than green to me, and isn’t embracing the colour green sort of the whole plot of the musical?
However, the witch monkey keyring is a stroke of genius. It looks like a Furby mated with Dobby and the offspring fell into a nuclear power plant. It’s so ugly and I love it. Not enough to spend £29.00 on it, though.
Get excited, folks! The official Wicked advent calendar is already reduced on Amazon. Not going to lie, £26.49 sounds like a steal for all the stuff you get.
Apparently, “This 25-day advent calendar features high-quality collectible items—patches, magnets, coasters, washi tape, laptop stickers, and more—that are designed to last so that you can show off your love for Wicked year-round.” And advertise their film for them all year round!
3. Wicked by Conair hair accessories
The haircare company Conair has spawned a bizarre amount of Wicked-themed hair products. Will your hair be extra shiny if you straighten it with a flat iron that says “Wicked” on it? Does the hairdryer make your hair so voluminous it defies gracity? I’m not paying to ship it from the US to find it.
2. Wicked × Lush
Lush has legit churned out 13 Wicked-themed bath products, ranging from body spray to hand soaps to something called a bubble bar. The Emerald City soap does look cute, even if it’s likely to lose its shape after the first hand wash.
The Wizard bath bomb, however, is the stuff of nightmares. Do you even want your skin to smell of “bronze petitgrain infusions”? It’s just asking to be rinsed (see what I did there?).
1. Wicked Glinda Siren Clog
You’ve witnessed the Elphaba-themed Crocs. Now, mentally prepare yourself for the Wicked Glinda Siren Clog.
No, you’re not dreaming. These £89.99 clogs are really available on the Crocs website. The shoes feature a sparkling surface and a 3.5-inch heel. You really will be defying Gravity when you wear them, because you’ll be a good 9cm off the ground.
