| UPDATED

Bournemouth University has introduced a new parking management system at Talbot Campus.

From 1st November 2024, parking at Bournemouth University will be managed by Hozah Parking and enforced by the UK Parking Administration.

This means that all drivers will be required to have a valid parking permit, and vehicles parked on campus without a valid permit after the 1st may be subject to a Parking Charge Notice (PCN).

Eligible students can apply for a parking permit via the BU Parking Membership system.

Drivers can log in using their usual BU login and password.

Students applying for the permit must complete the whole process, including providing their vehicle registration number to Hozah.

In order to qualify for an annual student parking permit, Bournemouth University has set an eligibility criteria that students must meet one of the following:

  • Living at an address, during term time, more than 10 miles from Talbot Campus by road transport.
  • With a child aged 12 or under. Evidence of this will be required.
  • A registered disabled blue badge holder. Evidence of this will be required.
  • Have a medical condition whereby not having a parking permit would impede on studies. Medical referrals will be required to complete an additional form on the application.
  • Have an official Carer responsibility. Evidence of this will be required.

Bournemouth University has stated that due to their commitment to sustainable travel, they are encouraging all their students, staff and visitors to consider alternatives to driving to BU campuses.
