Omg! Sugar has turned its front room into an arcade, and I don’t know how I feel about it

Catch me at the boxing machine

Sugar has undergone a complete transformation over the summer, changing its front room into an arcade.

The space has been equipped with gaming machines, an air hockey table, table football, and a boxing machine.

Sugar’s walls have also been completely covered in murals throughout this space, featuring logos and symbols from retro arcade games like Pac-Man and Tetris.

The Students’ Union nightclub said the goal of this transformation was to have a space for students to “chill out before you are ready to go ‘out out’ into the main room.”

They said they made the change due to requests for a space like this from Lancaster University students.

The main room has remained unchanged and will still function as a nightclub, and the front room’s bars have remained in place.

Tokens for the arcade machines can be bought at the front room bars. They are priced at £1 for one token, £3 for five or £5 for 10.
