All the adorable evidence that Harry Styles and Niall Horan are still friends

January 2016 was the day the music died. Destroyed teenagers fell to their knees across the globe. Tears were shed. Hearts were broken. Life was meaningless – One Direction had begun their hiatus.

Although everything certainly felt pointless when the five floppy-haired chaps went their separate ways, its not all been doom and gloom for them since then. Liam gave us his absolutely necessary opinions on Will Smith slapping Chris Rock, Louis now owns a football club and Zayn contributed to what is arguably Taylor Swift’s best song. But are any of them still friends?

Thankfully this answer is YES, with Niall and Harry coming in first place for the pair who have maintained the most wholesome friendship. Narry supporters have been well and truly fed over the past few years, so here’s a look at all of the evidence that Harry Styles and Niall Horan are still friends after all the years.

On Tuesday night, users on X went into meltdown mode after Harry was spotted hanging around the Co-op Live in Manchester, ahead of Niall’s headline show as part of The Show Live On Tour.

Harry was captured dancing joyously as his ex-band mate performed Stockholm Syndrome, a fan favourite which features on One Direction’s 2014 album, Four.

Veteran 1D fans expressed their excitement on X, with one user Tweeting: “Big day for annoying people (Narry girls).”

Another fan commented: “Harry Styles jamming out to Stockholm Syndrome at a Niall Horan concert was not on my bingo 2024 card.”

This isn’t the first time one another has been seen supporting each other, as Niall was one of the attendees at Harry’s Love On Tour in 2022, attending a Wembley show.

Similar to Harry, Niall was spotted dancing and singing along to a former 1D song, with this time being their debut single What Makes You Beautiful, which has had a permanent place on Harry’s setlist since he began his solo career in 2017.

Harry’s attendance at Niall’s gig last night has reignited the hopes of a reunion, so let us hope the boys take a page out of Oasis’ book.

Not only have Harry and Niall attended each other’s concerts, they have attended other peoples concerts TOGETHER. In 2019, Harry and Niall were both present for The Eagles at a Wembley gig.

Well, they might have not exactly been stood together, but being a few meters away from each other was enough to send fans into a frenzy.

The ultimate cute mate date (even if they weren’t stood together at all).

Hiking partners

Fans are speculating that Harry Styles and Niall Horan enjoyed a hike together!

Narry broke the internet once again in 2021 after the two were allegedly spotted together in LA, sporting hiking gear.

Obviously, Covid was still rife in 2021 and the pair were almost unrecognisable due to their outfits consisting of over oversized hoodies, caps and a mask.

The photo, which doesn’t even show any faces on either figures, did absolute rounds on the internet which really highlights how desperate fans are for any kind of 1D interactions.

Fans worked out it was the boys due to their body shapes (insane I know) and their pieces of clothing matched items that they had both been previously papped in.

What could be more wholesome than going on a hot girl walk together?

Moral support at the BRITs

For the 2020 BRIT Awards, Niall told Capital’s Sonny Jay that he only wanted to present an award just so he could provide “moral support” for Harry, as well as the other love in his life, Lewis Capaldi.

Niall said: “I was in rehearsals and they said do you want to present an award? I was like well if the boys are up for awards, you know Harry and Lewis, so I’ll come for a bit of moral support.”

This heavily supports the idea that Narry is absolutely alive and well and we all need a Niall in our lives.

At the recent gig in Manchester that Harry attended, he was caught singing along to the entirety of Slow Hands, Niall’s debut single off the back of the band.

Harry also revealed in 2020 on the Capital Breakfast show that he “had listened” to Niall’s second album Heartbreak Weather. Put A Little Love On Me was even Harry’s favourite track on the album.

Niall also told American Golf in 2020 that As It Was, Harry’s chart topping tune, was his current favourite song. I would pay money to know what Harry and Niall thought of Strip That Down when Liam released it in 2017.

Online love

After Harry scooped up the biggest award in the music industry, Album of The Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards, Niall took to Instagram to share his support for ex band mate.

The Instagram story featured a photograph of Niall’s television screen showing the ceremony, with the words ‘very proud’ followed by a heart emoji. Romance isn’t dead!

So it’s true – Harry Styles and Niall Horan are actually super close friends and are still supporting each other all of these years later

One can hope that the One Direction boys will be the next to work it out on the remix. If Noel and Liam can do it, 1D certainly can.
